Learning photography each day

Now that i have my new Canon 50 mm f1.8 lens for my Canon Rebel XTi cam I have been more inspired to shoot photos each day. I am just adjusting to it bec. it has no zoom so my feet is that one that needs to move front and backwards. I also refrained myself from using the Auto Mode except for fast shooting (where creativity is not needed) and used mostly the Manual Mode.

It's a challenge sometimes but that is the use of having a DSLR, shoot in creative modes or full manual. I know i have many things to learn about my camera and the settings but I know with much practice , I know I can master it.. hehe hopefully.

My nifty fifty lens

Like what i have said in my previous post , finally, i already bought my 50 mm f1.8 II lens and oh my I am loving it!! It is light weight, sharp, affordable and i just love the aperture. It is great for portraits but it is good also as a walkaround lens and good for low light conditions. It's a fix lens so there is no zoom, your zoom is your feet, lol. Even so I love it !!, Am i saying goodbye to my kit lens now? I think so

My niece and I bought it at INFO MAX at cyberzone 4flr. in Megamall just yesterday (Sunday). Actually, I went to Canon branch 1st at megamall but it is out of stock and it costs more that what i got from Infomax. I know it is much more cheaper in Hidalgo but I have no time to go there anymore.

Camera gadgets that i will purchase soon

Been reading and reading different digital photography forums and websites since yesterday to know what kind of lens will I buy next time and I have come with the decision that i will buy these next time.

These are my next pet project:

1. Canon EFS 55-250mm f4-5.6 IS (Image Stabilizer) (around $300+-)
2. Canon 50 mm f1.8 (around $85+-)
3. UV filter and (around $17+-)
4. lens hood (around $30+-)

Hopefully this year I can be able to get all of them. Can you remember my not satisfied post about my 400dcam? I know now that it's NOT the camera but the kit lens that is not sharp. So i will stick to my Canon Rebel 400d Xti and i will just replace the kit lens. OMG, this is an expensive hobby!!

I think there are cheaper prices at Amazon.com, you can check it out for comparison

Practice , practice, practice

That is what they keep on saying to me with regards to digital photography. I have just started liking this new hobby of mine last year eversince i got my point and shoot camera from my uncle who gave it as a gift. I like the thought of taking pictures lots of them actually and see them over adn over again.

When i was still in highschool and college i love taking photos using film camera and now i have upgraded my self and bought myself a new canon rebel xti that i never thought I will have. It's kidna expensive but to think that i will not buy any film anymore makes it a good buy.

i am practicing shots, trying different angles and compositions. My bro is a photo hobbyists too so he can teach me anytime, Right now i need to learn more.

Practicing Photography

I went out this morning for a walk i the park eventhough it was gloomy bec. it rained last night. I carried my DSLR hoping to take pictures of anything i see. Indeed there are lots of things to photography there like the birds/ducks swimming in the lake. The flowers are also amazing to take. I was amazed by the little bee in a grass so i came up close to it and took some photos.

Many people are walking everyday in the park and while they are doing so, I was so engaged in practicing my photography.

I am enjoying taking lots of pictures lately with the use of my Canon rebel Xti. My nieces and nephew serves as my model while still learning the other functionalities of my new camera. I just got this last November as my bday gift to myself and I am loving it. But oh sometimes they hide from me when they saw me carrying my DSLR haha

My Canon Rebel XTi ( EOS 400d)

Oh i almost forgot to share this. Anyway, last Monday i went to Quiapo in Manila with a friend to buy my 1st DSLR cam. I asked Wanda, a co-bebot where can i buy DSLR with a good price and she told me that Hidalgo is photographer's haven.

I am so happy to buy this CANON EOS 400D (Rebel Xti) kit with a free 1GB Kingston Compact Flash out of my blogging money as a birthday gift for myself, isn't it great huh? I also got a Lowepro camera bag, extra battery and a SANDISK Extreme III 4GB Compact Memory.

I am pretty sure digi cam prices are going down these days. Have you got yourself one today?
